Vale Resort win KO Cup
A protracted KO Cup finally ended on Sunday October 20th with a 2-1 victory for the Vale Resort in the 18 hole final at Swansea Bay. The original intention had been to play the semi-finals and final at Swansea Bay on Sunday October 6th. However the weather had other ideas and after semi-final victories for The Vale Resort and Neath over Aberdare and Langland Bay respectively, down came the rain and made the playing of the Final impossible that day.
The Final was re-arranged for Sunday October 20th and again in very wet conditions the matches eventually teed off half an hour late but then mercifully the weather relented and the final was played in dry conditions. Kyle Williams and Nick James won their matches for the Vale and the Vale were victorious.
Congratulations to the Vale Resort on their victory. Many thanks to both teams for their perseverance and of course to Swansea Bay Golf Club for their help and incredible patience and flexibility of course access. Finally thanks to David Watkins for his patience and determination to get the job done.
